Malam ini Man Utd akan turun beraksi semula dalam kempen Liga Perdana Inggeris dengan aksi yang pasti lebih menarik lagi apabila juara bertahan Man Utd turun beraksi menentang Arsenal di Emirates Stadium dalam perlawanan mempertahankan kejuaaran liga buat kali-4 berturut-turut.

Apakah nasib Man Utd malam ini, adakah mereka akan terus bertarung untuk merebut gelaran liga musim ini dan terus mengejar Chelsea bagi membolehkan red devil bersaing dan merampas takhta liga dengan membenam kan pesaing utama iaitu Asernal dalam perlahwanan yang pasti penuh dengan debaran dan sengit itu.

Perlawanan malam tadi antara seteru utama Manchester United vs Man city dalam piala liga berlangsung dengan hangat dan panas sekali. Kedua-dua pasukan ingin merebut peluang untuk melangkah ke final piala liga 09-10. Nampak nye tuah memihak kepada Man Utd apabila Man City gagal mengatasi barisan-barisan man utd pada perlawan separuh akhir kedua tersebut dengan keputusan 3-1 memihak kepada united. Dalam perlawanan tersebut juga menyaksikan kapten Gary Neville telah menunjukkan isyarat lucah kepada penyerang Argentina itu selepas Tevez menunjukkan isyarat diam kepada beliau.

Cerita ini tidak habis disitu juga apabila sidang akhbar antara Carlos Tevez dan wartawan berlangsung Tevez telah menyelar tindakan yang dilakukan oleh kapten United tersebut dengan mengatakan yang Gary Neville adalah 'sombong' dan 'bodoh' serta menyelar pengurus united iaitu Alex Ferguson dengan mengatakan beliau kedekut kerana tidak mahu berbelanja untuk mengekalkannya pada musim panas lalu.

Sir Alex Ferguson turut membalas pernyataan si Tevez dengan mengatakan yang penyerang Argentina itu seharus-nye di buang padang kerana telah mengasari pertahanan united iaitu Wes Brown.

Wayne Rooney Hits Four To Put Manchester United Back On Top Of The League

A Wayne Rooney inspired Manchester United returned to top of the league with a 4-0 victory over Hull City at Old Trafford. United took advantage of being the only game in the Premier League and moved two points clear of Arsenal in second place.

Sir Alex Ferguson made five changes from the team that lost to Manchester City in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi final in midweek. United welcomed back Rio Ferdinand to his starting line-up after three months out with a back injury and Michael Owen was given his fifth league start of the season.

The England striker Wayne Rooney added a gloss to the victory with a fourth - the first time he has scored that many in one match - when he drilled into the bottom left after sub Dimitar Berbatov's pull down put him in, although Hull's defence backed off him to allow the shot.
United go two points clear of Arsenal and Chelsea, who have one and two games in hand respectively: Hull stay 18th, with a goal difference of -26, the worst in the division.

Hull City manager Phil Brown, in his 150th match in charge of the Tigers, didn’t include new loan signing Amir Zaki in his matchday squad as he looked to build on their battling draw in their last league match against Tottenham.

John O'Shea ruled out for season

The injury is more severe than first expected after O'Shea experienced discomfort in the Republic of Ireland's World Cup play-off defeat by France in November.
Ferguson told the Irish Independent: "He's got a terrible injury at the moment. It's one of those sorts of injuries that are unusual. It's like a dead leg except a dead leg is usually only three or four days.
"The problem is that the blood clot became all knotted and when it gets knotted you get calcification so therefore it's a long process to clear that up and he'll probably miss the season now.
"It's a bad blow for the boy and for the team because he can play anywhere."

Finances not our business

Documents released last week in conjunction with a proposed £500 million bond issue suggested the Glazer family would be willing to sell United's Carrington training complex and their iconic Old Trafford home should enormous debt prove impossible to repay.
Many critics argue that is inevitable given the vast amounts of interest the club are responsible for, with only the £80m sale of Cristiano Ronaldo allowing them to record a profit for the year to June 2009.
Extra security measures were taken on Saturday as United defeated Burnley 3-0, while chants of "We want the Glazers out" were heard from the Stretford End. Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has declined to comment on the situation, claiming he is restricted by regulatory rules. However, Neville is adamant the whole thing is none of his team-mates' business and could not be used as an excuse for failure on the pitch.
"All the speculation about the finances at Manchester United does not affect the players," he told the Sunday Times in Malta. "We are always very well protected and never get involved in the financial side of things.
"There have been talks and rumours over the years going back to when the Glazers took over, and even when Michael Knighton nearly took over in the 1980s. As players we never get involved in those things; our job is purely on the pitch and we allow people who are paid to do jobs in other areas of the club to do their job. It is nothing to do with us at all."

Manchested United 'may be forced to sell Wayne Rooney'

The American Glazer family, who privately own United, are struggling to raise money for transfers while recent figures showed only the £80 million sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid kept the club from recording a loss last year.

With debts mounting - the figure stands at £700m while £325m has been paid in interest since the unpopular takeover in 2005 - the club are issuing a £500m bond in a bid to attract investors.

The possibility of losing top assets such as Rooney was outlined in a prospectus sent out for this purpose - where by law the Glazers have to warn potential investors of all possible risk.

It stated: "(The situation could) limit our ability to acquire or retain top players... the indenture governing the Notes (bonds) will limit our ability to sell or transfer (some assets), but not prohibit us from selling or transferring our training ground facilities and our stadium."

Should Carrington - which is at greater risk than the stadium - or Old Trafford be sold, it is understood United would lease it back from the new owners.

However there is an acknowledgement that such a move would mean United have no say over their future use.

"Although in the sale or transfer of any of these properties, the transferee will be required to enter into a long-term lease with us to enable us to continue to have substantially the same access to such property as we currently do, if we sell or transfer either or both of these properties, we will no longer control them," the prospectus stated.

The club has already drawn a £36m cash advance on an £80m four-year shirt sponsorship deal with American insurance giant Aon, which does not begin until the summer.

United manager Alex Ferguson has said on several occasions that he has access to the money from the sale of Ronaldo, but has not seen anyone worth shelling out for.

Nemanja Vidic will not be departing Man Utd in the January transfer window, according to a representative of the Serbian star.Rampant speculation has suggested Vidic is on his way to Spain, with the 28-year-old drawing covetous glances from La Liga superpowers Real Madrid and Barcelona. "I don't think Nemanja will move in January," he said, as quoted by the Sun.



"Except for a big surprise, at the moment I don't see any solution to leave the team. I don't think so."
